Major airports in Greece

Greece’s main airport is Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”, a new and modern airport that offers flights to all of Greece, as well as most of the world’s major destinations. Aegean Airlines operates through all 34 airports of Greece, which include the:

Getting to the airport in Greece

Athens International Airport is located 30 km from the city center and is easily accessible via suburban rail, bus and taxi. “Macedonia” airport in Thessaloniki is located 13 km from the city center. You can reach the airport via bus 78 from the city center in 40 minutes. If you take a taxi, it will cost you up to €15. Heraklion International Airport is located only 4 km from the city center, therefore you can get there quite fast using a taxi or a bus. Keep in mind that in order to reach all Greek airports you can take a taxi. The prices are very reasonable.
