The airport of Venice
Aegean Airlines operates through “Marco Polo” international airport of Venice. One of the largest airports in Italy, it has luxury shops, restaurants and cafes while for the travellers' convenience there are also banks, foreign exchange offices, a post office and car rental agencies. Wi-Fi is available in all airport areas, but there is a charge.
Transportation to the airport
“Marco Polo” airport is located 10 km north of the city and is accessible by bus or boat. If you choose to get to the airport by sea, you can take any of the Alilaguna boats from Piazza San Marco. The journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. If you prefer terrestrial means of transport, you can take bus line 5 from Piazzale Roma. The journey by taxi costs about 25 euros.
