Getting to the airport

Sarajevo International Airport is located approximately 10 km from the centre of Sarajevo. As there are currently no public transport services to the airport, it can be reached only by taxi. All taxi companies in Sarajevo are obliged by law to operate a meter and issue receipts. Even so, instances of defrauding tourists (overcharging and refusal to use the taximeter) have been observed. The most reliable companies are Zuti Taxi (Yellow taxi), Crveni Taxi (Red Taxi) and Holand Taxi. In any case, the cost of the journey to the airport from the city centre should not exceed 10-15 euros and the ride takes approximately 20 minutes.
