The airport of Alexandria

Aegean Airlines operates through Borg El Arab International Airport. After its renovation, in 2010, it is the main airport of Alexandria. Here you will find duty free and souvenir shops, a bank providing foreign exchange services and ATM, a special area with known restaurant and café chains. In the airport there is also a children's play area, a clinic and Muslim prayer room.

Transportation to the airport

Borg El Arab International Airport (HBE) is located 40 km south west from Alexandria city centre. The best way of getting to the airport is to take a taxi from the city centre, after having previously agreed on the fare for the journey. The journey is approximately 40 to 45 minutes long, depending on the traffic. Bus line 555 connects the city centre (El Raml Bus Station) with the airport, from 12.30 to 22.00.
